The Sega CD was released as the Model 1 (drawer model), Model 2 (flip-lid model), Sega CDX (cart/CD portable) and JVC X'Eye (JVC's cart/cd console).

Oh... and the Sega CDX can definitely play 32X games. You just need a game genie or a cartridge spacer adapter (found a new one today 1/24/26 from the 90's, lol).

JVC X'Eye... The What?
The JVC X'Eye is a rare, high-quality hybrid console that combines a Sega Genesis and a built-in Sega CD, released in 1994 as the North American version of Japan's Wonder Mega console.
